Rounding up the weekend in Lake Louise.
The races in Lake Louise is history, and we are already in Calgary,
waiting for our flight to Denver tomorrow morning. The weekend did not
end up the way I was hoping to. I’m leaving without any World Cup points in the bag.

On the downhill Saturday I was forcing it too much, and ended up making some bad choices that turned into some big mistakes. In a downhill like this, there is no room for error, and I was pushed far back on the rankings.
In the Super-G today, I lost a lot of time on the top flat, and was never able to make up for it. I finished in 40th position, 2,66 out of the Canadian winner Manuel Osborne- Paradis.
But both yesterday and today I skied some very good sections, this makes me look into the following races with a positive attitude. I have never before skied as many top 15 splits as in this weekend. It´s bin a excellent week training wise, and the best possible preparation for the Super-Combined races in Beaver Creek and Val d`Isere.
During this two days there has bin some terrible episodes. Both American TJ Lanning and Canadian Downhill World Champion John Kucera crashed and was injured bad. Everybody knows that there is a risk involved in skiing the speed disciplines, but still, it all feels meaningless when something like this happens. I hope for a good recovery for the both of them.
