A day to remeber

Getting out of bed today, I felt like shit. I was stiff and soar from neck to toe. The knee was also pretty painful and I was limping like a drunken seaman… I was not feeling ready to race in any way. I figured some fresh air would do me good, and went to the inspection with the other guys. As I put on my skies and going down the hill, it felt a lot better then expected. After doing some slalom runs in the warm up course, I decided to race.

Being able to compete was something I never even could imagine yesterday. The crash definitely set me back a bit, but in the end of the day I ended up in 9th position. I was trilled!

Team Norway had a good day in the hill today. Aksel finishing in 6th, me 9 and Kjetil in 11th. Kjetil did an amazing downhill and was in a 6th position before the slalom. Watch out for him tomorrow. We are on a roll!

As for me, I´m taking a break now. I´m exhausted from both the physical and mental stress the last couple of days. Especially the knee needs some days to recover.

Hope to be racing again in Val d`Isere, France next weekend.

Minus 25C in the hill this morning..
