A Devil on my back

The period after the crash in Beaver almost two weeks ago has bin tough. First of all you get a punch in the face mentally. To “get over it” often takes more time then you want and expect. It feels like you are skiing with a devil on your shoulder, telling you –“you can´t do it!” Right now I´m struggling to fight back , show him that I can and to get rid of him…

In addition to this, my left knee is still causing problems. The torn ligament on the outside and the bone broose on the inside of the knee, nicely alternate each other, when it comes to giving pain. This makes putting down the hammer and going for it even harder.

This week I´m skiing in Alta Badia, trying to get the good feeling and confidence back. The progress when it comes to the knee is not as good as I hoped, and the level I´m at technically, is also off the top level required. I hope at least the knee will hold up so that we can do a proper amount of training, witch will give me a fair chance to get back in shape.

In the end of the week some Europa Cup races is held not far from where we are staying. If everything runs well, I hope to take place in at least one of them. This will give me valuable race practice coming in to the final World Cup competition before the Christmas break.

Anyways, not only negative vibes from the Dolomities. This week has bin beautiful so far. 10 minus and clear sky!

My new Attacking Viking helmet!

This is my acreditation from Val d´Isere. I don´t know who made the joke, but I liked it..
