After over five weeks on the road it´s finally time to head home. Since
we left for Canada in November I have visited 9 countries, experienced
temperatures from 30c° below to 35c° positive, spent countless hours
travelling, and probably skied close to 10 000 gates. There has bin up
and downs, and today I´m taking a well needed Christmas break.
Today in Alta Badia, Italy I skied my last race of 2009. I didn´t have an optimal day and ended up in 18th. Considering how this last couple of weeks has developed, I´m pretty happy with the result anyway. The progression this last week has bin tremendous. Starting the week with a bad knee, low confidence and a rusty technique, and ending up doing a decent performance today, feels really good. I clearly feel that I have bin taking some major steps from last year, and with this result today I´m confident that the new year will bring a lot of fun!

I want to dedicate a special thanks to my coaches and physiotherapists for the support since my crash in Beaver. The time and effort you have put down, together with the schedule you have guided me through has bin outstanding. And is the reason that I now can take a break with a positive attitude and good feeling within. You guys are the best!
Now I will allow myself a couple of days off before I start training again in the Christmas days. Really looking forward to doing some sessions with my old man (Bjørn) again.
Merry Christmas everybody!
